A depressed center wheel is usually the type 27 of the Standard Shapes of Grinding Wheels. A depressed center wheel has reinforcement of one to three glass fiber cloth(es) sandwiched between layers of resinoid bonded grindstones and is mounted to a portable grinder when in use. This kind of grinding wheels are highly deflectable and are versatile tool for deburring, chamfering and rough finishing of any metal and nonmetal workpiece.
