There are two types of cutting wheels: resinoid (resinoid bonded) and rubber (rubber bonded). Also, there is a reinforced resinoid cutting wheels that has glass fiber cloth reinforcement sandwiched between layers of grindstone.

Compared to other cutting methods like saws, cutters or gas welding, cutting wheels have many economical features; they can be used for various purposes, are easy to use, are highly efficient and provide beautiful cutting surfaces.
